What it does not do
- No trust or client-money accounting.
- No court-rules deadline calculation: you enter dates after checking the applicable rules.
- No integrated billing or payment collection; Invoices is a database for your records.
- No e-filing and no e-signature.
- No hosting of your data and no email sending from the template itself.
- Notion AI features need a Notion plan or add-on that includes Notion AI.

Frequently asked questions
- Which edition should I choose?
- Choose Starter if you mainly need to track matters and dates. Choose Pro with AI if you also want actions, time, clients, invoices records and the other databases.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. Both editions are one-time payments. Notion itself has its own plans.
- Can I upgrade from Starter to Pro?
- Contact hello@notionforlawyers.com to ask about upgrade options; we do not state terms here.
- Can I edit the template?
- Yes. It is a normal Notion template, so every database, property and view can be changed.
